Differences between CD-R and CD-RW

The CD-R is a write-once disk that cannot be written over. CD-RW can be written over multiple times. The CD-R drive is a CD-ROM drive to which a function that enables writing to CD-R media has been incorporated. The CD-R/RW drive, in addition to the above functions, incorporates a function enabling overwriting of CD-RW media.

A CD player or CD-ROM drive can be used to play back or to read CD-R media. CD-RW media can be read if a CD-ROM drive is supported by MultiRead. To obtain best results, please chose the most suitable methods.
